Challenge
How do you create a brand identity that captures the raw, joyful essence of children playing with clay, without it feeling overly polished or adult? The challenge was to communicate tactility, creativity, and movement in a way that speaks both to kids and their parents.
Concept
The visual language needed to feel shaped by hand—soft, squishy, and full of motion. Inspired by the physicality of clay itself, the concept centered around letters and forms that look molded and imperfect, as if they were freshly pinched and pulled.
Color & Mood
The color palette blends earthy clay tones with playful pops of color—think natural terracotta alongside lively blue and turquoise This balance grounds the brand in the material world while keeping it energetic and kid-friendly.
Logo & Typography
The logo was designed with custom letterforms that mirror the feel of soft clay. Rounded shapes, and playful curves give it a crafted-by-hand personality, reflecting the spontaneity of kids’ creations.
Visual Expression
Supporting visuals lean into texture, movement, and the joy of making. Imperfect shapes, organic lines, and childlike compositions all come together to create a brand that feels alive, expressive, and beautifully messy, just like Clay Play itself.
